Family-centered services, as provided by Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic, Inc. are Rehabilitative Treatment Services designed to address the specific medical and behavioral health needs of children who require assistance from the Department of Human Services, under the Family-Centered Service Program.

Family-centered Rehabilitative Treatment Services are designed to restore a function or skill that a child has lost or never gained, as a result of interferences in the normal maturational and learning process due to individual or parental dysfunction. The child must have the capability to learn the function or skill.

Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic's provision of family-centered services serves a role in Iowa's Reasonable Efforts service response system, and plays a major role in efforts to prevent placement, and work toward reunification when placement has occurred. The child's health and safety are the paramount concern in making reasonable efforts when reunifying a child or preventing placement.

Mid-Iowa Family Therapy Clinic, Inc. provides the following services under the Family-Centered Services Program:

  • Therapy and counseling services
  • Skill development services
  • Psychosocial evaluation services
  • Supervision services
